I am looking at few BMW X3 used car options at a BMW dealership but confused if I can negotiate with them ? If yes how much ?

I tried to ask them if they are open to work on price and they are saying they have just one price !

Any one recently negotiated used car from BMW dealership ?

    There’s always room for negotiation. If they say no from the get go then walk away and find a different dealership. On a new car I typically look for a 10% discount pre-incentives. Keep in mind that’s challenging these days given covid and low supply / high demand. I’d still try to aim for a similar discount on a used car.

    Go to multiple dealers, they will compete for your money.

    Car dealers all pay different prices for vehicles due to their own complicated metrics.

    You can shop around with email and phone calls without even going to a showroom. Saves time and frustration

    Can only get a small amount off if it’s a CPO. If you choose their financing, you can negotiate further.

    I negotiated on a new car. Got a $2,000 discount on an M car. She initially said they didn’t discount those cars. When I asked for the $2,000 discount she asked where I got the idea that they were going to discount such a car that much. It’s all blah blah.

    I traded in my previous car for $16,700 and they listed it for $21,000 or so, BTW.

    So, just tell them what you’re willing to pay, leave your phone number or email, walk out the door and do the same for other cars in other dealerships. Try not to obsess over one specific car, change the market by flexing your mind.
