Hey all.
I work at a small-mid tech startup in the Midwest and have officially run out of room to grow, the culture is changing etc. I've got about 8 years as a Business Analyst/Strategist and 5 years in Testing. The past 5 years I've worked on over 100 products as the main strategist fulfilling both a BA/consulting role and sort of PM of discovery. A lot of the work was really almost rapid product owner as a service work if that makes sense (though sort of counterintuitive).
Anyway, I'm trying to figure out options for my next move. Do you guys think looking at product owner or manager types of jobs will be enough of a relevant match for the larger companies in the big cities? I'd love any thoughts or general tips. I'm eyeing Denver and Seattle as well as keeping an eye on CA but not as familiar with that area. Also, with a company like Google, in a non tech role, how do you even start narrowing down where to target your application?
I'd appreciate any advice or referrals, being sort of isolated here in the Midwest means I don't have connections at the bigger players.
TC: $73K + RSUs that may or may not ever be real money.
