college graduate Bach. of Science Industrial Engineering Age 23 Company Role: Industrial Engineer Salary: 64k Bonus: Quarterly pay approx. 10% of base salary. Rent: $600 monthly How’s my situation?
Enjoyable. $72k in PA with $1k rent, you'll be doing fine. Probably take home around $800/week net so you won't be living lavish, but comfy for now. Get 1 YOE and don't be afraid to look around. A lot of my friends got 1YOE and are suddenly getting $105k+ offers base salary.
Also, living is Quad Cities area. Just trying to see if competitive companies pay higher for Industrial Engr. College grad.
At 68k you must be living like a KING in Quad Cities!
The Midwest is huge. Where are you at? It's a very average college grad salary, higher than norm but avg for engineers. It's a low Midwest dev salary. Edit: now I see ur comment for location. you'll live alright but man get out of the Midwest asap if there's a top company you can jump to for industrial engineering. I know some industrial engineers who moved to tech. If it interests you, do it asap
Well, here’s the thing. At 64k, my monthly net income is $5,333. However, taxes fuck me over ridiculously. I only get like $3,800 after taxes.
Welcome to society.
