Hi, I have been recently offered a Web Solutions Engineer role at @Google, Hyderabad. I also have an offer from @zeta (Unicorn Startup) for the SDE-II position.
Current T.C. - 15.6
Y.O.E - 2.4 yrs
Google Compensation:
T.C. offered = 21.5LPA(fixed) + 2.15LPA (JB) + 48K USD Stocks(33% for 1st year) + Target Bonus
Total Comp = 38LPA(Considering stocks)
Zeta Compensation
T.C. offered = 29 LPA(fixed) + 3LPA (JB) + 25k usd esops (considering them as paper money)
Total Comp = 32 LPA + 2.5k stocks(10% for 1st year)
Also, what are the growth opportunities with WSE role @google. Can I apply as an SDE-II/SDE-III after WSE. What are the disadvantages of choosing this role if any? Does this role not come under Software Development? Also hear that WLB at Zeta team is not so great. Please help me as I am really confused between the two...

Amazon is either dumb or trolling.
Join Zeta or similar good companies as an SDE and try for Google after a year as L4 SWE.
People tend to take low balled offer, lower position or secondary role because of the Google tag and fame. It isn’t easy to switch to SWE internally and to get out again you need to interview for SDE role with a WSE profile on resume. Please think it through, it can take your career off-track and might regret later.
(People make this mistake with Google WSE, Facebook’s Enterprise Engineer, Amazon’s Programmer Analyst)
