Quit my job?

Dec 1, 2020 9 Comments

Should I quit my job now and prepare for interviews? Finding it difficult to both given the demands of the job. Financially I definitely can support myself with my current job but curious how other engineers have handled this situation. #engineering #swe

Don’t - take some days off, study on weekends or reduce job load here and there. Try to slip in study time as much as you can. Gaps can be taboo. Besides, why take the risk of going out of a job voluntarily? No one knows what bad situations we can go through financially in our future. It’s not good to invite more voluntarily IMO

I appreciate you. I’ll use my vacation and drop my work load a bit

I’m in the same situation and I was so stressed that even thought of quitting my job to focus on interviewing. May I know how can you drop your work load and still don’t make your boss suspicious?

Not a good idea primarily because job market is tough these days. Everyone seems to be interviewing in these Covid times
