I am ready to grind a little harder and learn more than I have at my current role. I've been coasting a bit and learning a bit. Suddenly, I woke up at 2 years with QC and realized I just want to get more experience and not cruise forever. I feel behind my peers and I'm ready to go hard for a few years to really get some experience with systems that scale.

I've read that Google is mostly about resting and vesting with cushy benefits, so I'm worried that's not the right place for me. I'm also conscious that Blind can give the wrong impression though.

Interests: graphics, AR/VR, robotics, device firmware, operating systems, mainly C/C++ (or Rust) based roles

Based on what I'm looking for, which is the better fit?

I was in your shoes. I joined Amazon. Really missed the cruise aspect within the first week. I’ll go to google asap. Listen to blind- Amazon is as bad as you hear. Yes some teams are decent but the minute a reorg happens that’s that.

Thank you so much for the offer! I'm already in the interview loop with Amazon though and my recruiter said I can't interview for more than one position at a time 😭

Dude, Nvidia is the highest in my list. I have applied there multiple times, tried networking with recruiters, everything. They don't want anything to do with me yet. I think a few more years of relevant experience and I'll have a chance. I love what they're doing!
