I got an offer from Doordash Australia for E5.

I have been at Atlassian for 2 years on P4 role under a micro manager. Recently after coming back from parental leave, while discussing about promo package, my manager said that my parental leave is a "bad luck" for my career growth. It appears that it would be hard for me to get the P5 under his management.

While receiving an offer from Doordash I am considering all the pros/cons

Doordash
+ Better role
- Not sure about the company growth
- WLB
- Volatile share price

Atlassian
+ Good WLB
+ Share price is getting higher
- Bad manager
- Same role P4. I can move to another team. But not sure about the promo for atleast a year.

Should I move to DD or stick to Atlassian?

Doordash E5

Base/Stock/Bonus
180k/300k/0 (AUD)

Atlassian P4
130k/120k/10k (but equity value is getting higher)
The equity is now close to 400k and 200k is still to be vested

Doordash- coming from someone who works under a micromanager/toxic…and trust me..if they arent promoting you now, they wont later! You’ll regret the more you stay. I am talking from experience…

DD is giving you that promotion and the team seems very nice :)

Doordash you are getting E5 and buy atlassian stock if you belive in it. Atlassian promotions are hard anyways. What was your initial grant 2 years ago?
Seems like all Atlassian managers are millionaires now
