This 4Q2020 number paints a stark picture for the rest of their competitors.

On a worldwide basis, Amazon's average monthly unique visitors combined with mobile monthly active users hit a total of 1.9B in the quarter - a large lead over No. 2 eBay (EBAY; 464M), No. 3 Walmart (WMT; 419M), No. 4 Apple (AAPL; 304M) and No. 5 MercadoLibre (MELI; 235M).

Is AMZN a monopoly and can they get into trouble with antitrust?

      Why? They have already been sued in the past by several of its competitors on that list for practices that undermine free market operations.

  • US anti-trust laws checks for companies exploiting their dominant position to the detriment of the consumer. Amazon is all about customers. Antitrust cannot touch Amazon, not under the current interpretation. Besides, Amazon will always be playing the card that they are still a single percentage of the overall retail landscape.

    If they were charged for antitrust violations, what would it be? Selling own products along side 3rd party and advertising them over 3rd party? What else would be on the table?
