I know Nova and DC area have fewer companies than PNW greater Seattle area but as someone who likes public transportation and does not like rain, I am leaning towards Nova for job search.
That being said, how is COL for Nova compared to Seattle/redmond/kirkland/Bellevue. Rent in Redmond area according to friend has gone pretty high and I know DC area is also quite expensive.
Any blinders who have lived in both areas? I guess the ceiling for compensation in Nova is lower so that is a factor too.

Housing a little cheaper than King County in Nova. If you want big consulting or are ok with defense contracts, there is as much opportunity in Nova. If big tech only, youโre better off in Seattle.
But AWS came here for a reason and itโs the talent and experience that has been here all along.
I think both Seattle and Washington DC are in the same pay band at Salesforce (geoB). Other Salesforce people, please correct me if i am wrong. :)
