Salary expectations and reality.

I have 14 years of experience in Microsoft stack Azure included, working as a manager in Capgemini. I plan to move to India what pay and designation should I expect. I am Australian citizen and OCI holder enabling me to get business visas easier if Capgemini wanted to send someone onsite for short assignment.

TC: 165k + 10k bonus in AUD

  • If you move to Capgemini, push for at least designation “Senior Manager”. Compensation is a little bit hard to say because I am not in India, but I do have a lot of friends in India. We were trying someone in Capgemini India for my project, and cloud architects were asking easily 25-30 lakhs with 10 years of experience. This was about 4 months back. I dont think you should have any problems whatsoever getting 35+ lakhs in the current market

    • Capgemini is a NIGHTMARE ! Especially, if you’re in US, and need employers help with immigration. The TC was 🥜.. (130k), used to get annual bonus, called as “VC” - Variable compensation, which was about 1.5 - 2k per year. I moved to a another company 3 months ago, with an TC (198k + 20% Annual Bonus), and WLB is amazing!! I would highly recommend staying away from CG, if one’s in US and need visa.

P.S: Still gotta find a way to change the employer on Blind, without loosing my previous posts/DMs.

Look for product based jobs in India for better salary. Few employers offer Rupees 10MM-40MM for your level of experience and expertise.
Capgemini is no near to that range, you may expect 1MM to 5MM depending upon your job level, city.
