Very bad JPMC benefits policy for new joiners
Feb 3

Looks like benefits will be effective only from 1st day of next month of join date. Example if someone joins on Jan 2nd, they will be provided medical coverage only from Feb 1st. Employee will not have any medical insurance until Jan 31 (unless they are enrolled in cobra insurance from previous employer).
What if a medical urgency happens? What's the meaning of being a full time employee?
Isn't this a bad policy or acceptable standard practice?

At least you're lucky, some of those firms don't give you medical insurance until after your 90 day probation period
However, what you described is still a garbage policy. Most companies will offer insurance at joining even if the previous insurance is valid till month end.
