Anyone have experience with Nordstrom tech roles?

I've heard it is a nice place to work from a couple of independent sources 😊
I worked in a tech role at Nordstrom for two years, after a long stint at MS. They are desperate for technical talent. Excellent people, but very little depth. Lots of room for impact if you have strong technical skills. Lots of turnover, tumultuous industry, flailing leadership. I left because I missed the challenge of working in the technology industry. Overall great experience, but not a place you want to stay for longer than 3-5 yrs.
Friend (dev) hated it. Made it a year before changing to an actual tech-driven retailer.
It's an IT run shop by millennials. Pass.
As I've heard, it/software is the first department to lay off in Nordstrom when stock drops/sales targets are missed.
I have a friend who worked there and the way he described it was like joining the freshman sports team one step below junior varsity
I interviewed there a few years ago and the poor guy interviewing me didn't even understand the problem he asked. Stay away.
Worked there for some time. Pay slightly less. Benefits are not as good. Environment is toxic. Revolving leadership. Hard to actually deliver product due to poor leadership decision making.
Don't mention Trump in your interview
