Amazon - Retail - FDE-2 (NYC) - T.C 360k comp. Considering average stock price as $4000
Base - 190k
Year 1 signing bonus - 155k
Year 2 signing bonus - 115k
Total Rsu's over 4 years - 105 numbers
Relocation - 10k
Microsoft - Azure - L63 (Redmond) - T.C ~300k over 4 years
Base - 170k
Yearly bonus - 15% - 25k
Year 1 signing bonus - 50k
Year 2 signing bonus - 50k
Total Rsu's over 4 years - 300k value
Relocation - 25k
Microsoft up levelled me from L62 to L63 to try match Amazon's offer. I have not included Microsoft's possible annual stocks reward of 0-44k. 22k of which is possible from what I heard but not sure.
Need input with respect to long-term career growth and comp. Amazon pays mad cash for first two years for a lower band whereas I have more responsibilities in Microsoft.
I am a full stack dev mostly working on front end stuff. MS will give an opportunity to break into more backend roles as well.
Current T.C - 130k atlanta
YOE - 5 years

If you want to be in NYC, then it's a different story
Either way, I'd pick being in NYC over Redmond, but that's a choice. Financially, it would turn out to be quite close in terms of money saved.
Some people really like it in PNW but it’s not for everyone.
