I'm working in a managerial position in Rakuten Mobile division, Tokyo. Planning to switch either to Europe or the US/Canada offices of Rakuten.# My assumption is that this would be an easier way (for visa purposes) by moving within the company than joining other companies. Can someone tell me about the WLB of other Rakuten offices in these countries? Is my approach possible? Does the company allow switching between countries? #rakutenusa #rakuten Yoe :8 years in japan
I don't have an answer but am following because I'd like to do the same thing as you. Europe sounds a lot better than Tokyo.
I’m currently a Rakuten US employee and I asked for a transfer to Kobo (Canada) and my manager said the company wouldn’t sponsor me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'd _love_ to go to Canada. Great country, great bilingual culture. And hockey!
I’m at RCH as well, Mobile div. I got word on Friday that RMUS will raise the mobile division for some projects (RMI not RSSG). Hopefully some of us can move.
I dont think RMN has a team in the Us/Canada? Singapore might be easy I know a friend who did. Otherwise the only other examples I am aware of were folks who were in Rakuten Commerce and Card business who moved to US
