70% of Stripe’s recent hires are from Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft. Isn’t Annual RSU policy deterring?

My neighbor joined Stripe recently and mentioned that over 70% of recent hires are from Amazon MS Google and FB. And Stripe had over 2000 hires in the pst few months. I am curious on who are these people and why are they leaving 4 year grants to the shitty Stripe RSU policy where there is no upside after year 1!
Here’s the previous post where the annual Grant RSU policy was under fire few months ago Check out this post! "Let's Boycott Interviewing at Stripe and Instacart after their New RSU Policy (Tech Industry)"

Why would anyone join MSFT for less than they make at Amazon for terrible WLB unless they were being managed out?
I don’t understand the point of this post. I work at stripe. I get annually granted RSUs and refreshers. What am I missing? Are there others who don’t?

We have a range (the max for L3 in US-Premium is 270k) but we don't know who is going to get the max. Probably only people who get "Greatly Exceeds" rating, which is a very very small amount.
DO NOT TAKE 280k/2yr refresh for granted. The reality for most people is probably in the 0-100k range.
L5
330K base
25% bonus
650K stock grant each year
100K sign on.
Yeah I guess all these places are so big it’s not possible to describe what the avg experience is.
All I know is mine is very chill. Where it is on the bell curve, who knows. I have heard GCP mentioned a lot in this site as particularly bad though
