From what I have read, I understand that each country have their own work visa policy. How difficult is it to get one if you have job offer/ don’t have job offer from the country? Has anyone been on the visa? How is the experience compared to living in US in terms of QOL, pay etc?#workvisa #workvisa #europe

Ireland is easy, lots of jobs here in tech, if you work for amazon, just apply for transfer? but no blue card (you can only work in Ireland, nowhere else in europe) salary etc not as good as USA, so don't expect TC of 1 mill over 4 years

No mate you can't travel freely, Ireland isn't in schengen, so you will need a separate schengen visa to visit mainland EU. If you're say SDE 2 at Amazon you are looking at 90k Base, but if you can swing working from home and being on site once a week or so the salary is decent you'd want to make 200k Base in silicon valley to get similar lifestyle. You'll get 20 days holidays min (some companies up to 35) + another 9 bank holidays all paid, 5%+ pension match (100%) not sure about RSU but maybe 50% of your salary every year

Check out amazons immigration portal to get an idea of which work visas are provided in each EU country. In Luxembourg you get EU blue card which lets you work/live anywhere in EU
