Is anyone familiar with this program? How much does it pay? It sounds interesting to me. I graduate next year and I'm wondering if I should apply for the residency or a regular ft position. If anyone has any insight, it would be much appreciated!

  • The residency program is for people who can't pass the full time interview. I know someone who got an offer from it and it was about 90k base, but location was NYC. And of course there's no RSU's or sign-on bonus since you're not a full time engineer. If you don't feel confident about your skills then the engineering resident program might be a good idea to hone your skills so you can transfer to full time.

  • What is "residency", exactly? Are you expected to live on campus and be on-call too?

Normal new grads are level 3. Eng residents are level 2. They are folks who didn't quite pass interviews. Gives them a second chance to prove their capabilities.

A side note: EDS had this back in the days, a five year program to work around the country and every year base salary was adjusted upwards.
