I was approached by a recruiter for an operations manager II role at Walmart, San Bruno. Does anyone have experience in these roles or an idea of compensation?

I make $180k with more YoE and was happy with my comp and thought I was rich before finding Blind (Texas).

“Middle class” is defined with an upward limit of 2x median household income. Seeing as how you earn more than that on your own, you should be happy. Don’t let the miserable gremlins on Blind get to you. At 31 I’m a 1% income earner among people my age, but if you paid attention to Blind you’d think anyone not earning $250k by 25 was basically failing at life.

Assuming X4 (manager II). 120-140 base + 20% bonus + $30-50K in equity per year (25% vest per year).

Used to work in this group. I would say run for the hills. Absolutely horrible work culture. Hated my time there.

  • Not impressed by the comp but it would need to be hefty base. I worked for Walmart for three years out of the Hoboken NJ office and went to San Bruno 4x and my team was half based there. I would not recommend working for Walmart in ops or supply chain. Work culture and leadership are toxic and ops are non progressive. After I left they laid off nearly all the employees in SB and Hoboken and the ones who didn’t and stayed on, majority of them are looking for an out right now. If you want to feel like your hands are tied as a leader work for Walmart. Sorry to say this.

Manager II for 6 years experience is really a good offer.. compensation varies for role. This will be x6 and you may make around lower end 180 base 25% bonus and 100k stock..
