Why would anyone live in san francisco?

We are visiting san francisco. To be honest, my expectations were super high as it is so-called tech capital.

I am sorry, but the city is trash so far. Homeless everywhere, public transportation is above average compared to the US but still shit. We had to use our car where traffic was terrible and no parking available. The city doesn't seem safe at all.

Why do you folk still keep leaving there? Money obviously can't be the reason?

I am open to suggestions as well as I have an angry wife. I convinced her to go for san francisco instead of NY, and she is just complaining.

SF is a complete shit hole, and NYC is the same. Any major city run by Democrats for decades is complete garbage.

Nyc pays for the meth heads housing in Kentucky, a huge republican state. What's your point? To be on your side, California have gone downhill with the dems in charge ofbthe state. But California is a freaking large state, and all of our politicians are not even ready to run their own houses.

All of the areas south of sf are car-centric. Maybe northpark or venice/santa monica are outliers.

The appeal of living in sf is being able to walk to the park with a picnic blanket and chill. Not having to coordinate a commute over urban sprawl and endless shopping malls. I've lived in all three cities and sf is way different. Golden Gate park is unmatched.

It is the most prestigious partk. tier 0.

To OP. The SF city becoming littered with the homeless is more of a recent phenomenon (homeless always existed but nowhere to this extent). SF used to be a beautiful city back 7 years ago.
It changed to a dumpster fire in the past 5 years.

San Francisco is not the tech capital. It’s further south in the burbs. Not our fault you didn’t do your research.

For a little while (~2016 to 2020) it was the capital, the newer companies driving progress in the industry had their HQs there. But the same companies that made it the capital then are now mostly-remote and not returning anytime soon.

I lived in SF 10 years ago, the city has gone down hill by amounts I can’t even being to describe. You’ll be lucky if your car isn’t broken in once a year or randomly yelled at or spit on when eating outside
