Before I start - this was for Location India (Bengaluru).
Anyone else had a bad exp interviewing with Atlassian? I mean what is the point of it? They WILL ASK you the EXACT same questions (just go to LC and check). And then there will come a hire/reject call.
My experience - I had passed the first two coding rounds. Got asked the exact same questions. Then had a sys design interview. There also the EXACT same question lol. The interviewer was so weird lol. Was extremely mute throughout the interview. Had zero "good questions" to ask during the whole round - was mostly nodding when I was talking. And then suddenly started asking me about things regarding MSFT of all things. Finally got a reject after a couple of days. The most random and time-wasting interview experience ever.
P.S - *Conspiracy theory alert* I was looking at the SDE2s who work there and I see very less people who have switched from AMZ/MSFT/GOOG etc. This, inspite of Atlassian being one of the highest paying companies in India.
Makes me thing - do the interviewers *actually* want this? I had a couple friends from AMZ who got rejected in the coding round for some random reasons (and yes, they were asked the same question too) - whereas I had a friend who used to work at SAP Labs (not a Tier 1 place) had a smooth ride and ultimately got a hire call for SDE2. Are the Indian interviewers biased? Do they not want people coming in from Tier 1 companies? Heard a lot of good things about Atlassian but the reality is vastly different.
