[India] Senior Tech Lead at Cisco vs L63 at Microsoft

Spouse is in MS Hyd, Azure Networking since start of pandemic, CTC is 80L. Cisco Senior Tech Lead offer came at same salary. Spouse asked for 1 Cr + Principal role. But they are not moving. She likes the role. She was earlier TL at Cisco. Total Exp 13 Years.
Cisco Offer: 55 Base + 10L RSU per year + 14 L yearly Bonus
Ms: 43 Base, 30L RSU + 6 L Yearly Bonus
AZNet she did not like (ops heavy). She likes her previous work in routing & security. Scope is better at Cisco. But no brandname, directionless products, and no hikes in general...

Cisco culture is much better than microsoft. Bonus policy and ESPP in cisco is much stronger. Microsoft is huge company and much more political than Cisco. I experienced very toxic culture and very shitty managers in microsoft.
Azure networking as you mentioned is right, lot of work is SRE.
Reason being networking has had too many outages and new features have been reduced significantly. Risk is you push new features, do some config changes and sev2s/1s/outages increase. So focus is on stabilization, automation etc. So many people do not like it. Less good work causes too much competition amongst devs and stack ranking gets worse. As I see ms is offering 43 base which is much lesser than 55 base in cisco. DO NOT fall for 30L Rsu. Because i guarantee you will lose on bonus as cisco gives target + IPF whereas microsoft gives target/2. Unless you get 1 Cr as your spouse rightly mentioned , it is not worth to take all bad work and toxic culture. And microsoft does kick out people or reorg them in shitty teams so that people will leave by themselves. No need to layoff :) thus saving companies money. Layoff pkg in cisco is much better than ms.
