I am appearing for PM onsites this week. Product Manager, but not Technical Product Manager.
I completed 2 rounds, with director and with another Product Manager. I was asked in my first round was product strategy questions in which the person wanted a direct answer without me thinking about users or pain points. Then he asked me a few technical and coding questions, which I tried but I don’t think I did very well.
2nd round was a typical PM questions round like behavioral, product design, metrics etc.
I was not prepared for technical. As per videos on Youtube I didn’t expect these to be technical interviews at all. When I had asked the recruiter, he said I should not expect technical questions.
I have a round with a developer next.
What should I do? 🥺 Is this common for MSFT PM interviews?

What ms expects in a pm I think Is a good developer who has bit of soft skills.unlike other companies.
I have three lined up for on-site. And they gave me a case study before hand to prepare for.
