Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t want to jump through hoops. I think it’s best to be conservative with a 529 and only invest what you’re sure you can use for tuition.
But I agree with the other person. Hitting these milestones can be cool, but honestly it's meaningless. Just think, if you'd been a little closer to 1M OR a little farther away right now, you wouldn't even be thinking about this. Don't distract yourself from good long term growth because you invented a game for yourself.
