I have been working at Amazon for 1.75 years and I'm current an L4. I don't expect to be promoted in the next 6 months (hopefully within 9). I have recently received an offer for google for L3 position.
1. I am hesitant to take the google offer considering the long promo process (another 2 years). Should I stay at Amazon considering it would be a faster promotion process?
2. I'm seeing crazy Amazon L5 offers with the new bands. In terms of TC, will Amazon L5 > Google L4? Or is this for only for external hires?
3. Is it reasonable to ask the google recruiter to receive more interviews for an L4 position? I have heard of other candidates asking for a 2 more interviews to level up to L4 after being given an L3 offer.
