Is it worth applying to jobs in Canada if I plan to go there on a working holiday visa (VWP?) As I am from the UK and under 30 I am allowed to stay for 2 years. It's a super easy visa to get and means I could apply at Shopify, Microsoft, Uber...basically way more than what London offers

TC: £0 (Currently job hunting) #workvisa #canada

    • You can use L1 from Canada sure but you can use L1 from UK too.

TN is the NAFTA visa/status available to Canadians and Mexicans. Most Canadians use it.

OP I'm saying you can use L1 from Canada and L1 from UK too. You can do L1 from literally any country in the world. For that you don't need to come to Canada.

The point of coming to Canada is that you can use TN (via NAFTA) to work in the USA. However that process itself you need to plan for at least 5 years. 1 year for you to qualify for Canada PR, 3 years to get Citizenship, 1 year to get citizenship processed. To spend five years, you might as well choose the direct route, study in the USA, work there, and if you're born in UK, you get permanent residency in USA in no time. No point routing to Canada.
