Yes, she said tesla's policy to apply the I140 after 1 year and it takes 2 years to get I140 so that's why she said need at least 3 years. But, she's gonna look in to it of the hiring manager can let me interview and if I get through maybe he can approve the I140 process start after 6 months
Thanks for the info.. Actually I didn't know about it either but I found a lot of articles stating it can be done provided the I140 was applied 365 days before my 6 years window is about to be over. I'll send her the article for reference.
Yes the recruiter emailed me that my scheduled interview for next week might have to be canceled because she heard back from immigration team. She wanted to confirm if I wrong incorrect dates by mistake in the immigration assessment form. We spoke and I told her that I have 2.5 yrs left. I also said that if she can check with the hiring manager if they let me take interview and if hired he might do it after 6 months. She is gonna look in to it.
ATB. But I was in the exact situation about an year back. The HR said it might be ok, but after all the interviews and giving a verbal offer, the HR called back again and said the immigration team is not budging and they won't be able to give an offer. Their immigration team is extremely difficult to deal with.
Got an update from the recruiter that I can give the final interview and if the hiring manager and the director liked my presentation and willing to hire me. They can make an exception to expedite the process. Thanks everyone for your comments.
Yeah that's what I'm going to do but I don't know if they'd do it just for me if they don't do it for anybody else cz I read a comment on another post that they stopped doing it to cut the cost sometime ago
