Front end engineers were bored with nothing to do, so they invented the frameworks to make it way more complicated than anyone could have imagined it could be.
I never get why people bicker on blind but this one just too personal! Anywaysโฆ
Iโve coded in every UI technology in the past 15 years and Iโm loving this evolution. I do understand that last three years have been confusing but itโs shaping up for the good.
I do like Angular over React but overall itโs about being nimble enough to deliver cutting edge UIs.
These apps you dabble your day in and day out would not have been possible without โcomplicatingโ the tech! I encourage you to give it another shot! Cheers!
It's more complex that most people give frontend credit for, way more. It's not more complex than backend though. Maybe in some systems, the backend might be a lot more simple but that's going to depend on the actual domain and is largely because backend problems are better understood / there's more clear guidance around best practices. A complex backend is far more complex than front end will ever be.
Finding truly good front end engineers is fucking hard though, and they deserve more appreciation than they get.

But trust me, while our front end frameworks today are over engineered, itโs worth it to not have the nightmares of old school web dev.
Those who know, know ๐ฅฒ

Coding: frontend > backend
Architecture: backend > frontend

Yes, real good UI engineers are Unicorns and deserve so much more appreciation!
