Anyone know whats happening here? I applied with Chronicle and don't know what the future looks like.

    they spun off chronicle to show that the "alphabet model" is working. now they learned the lesson that it is just stupid to have two sets of people working on google security offerings, one inside google cloud and one in alphabet. they learned the same thing with Nest and google hardware. so now they are rolling it back.
    as stupid as it sounds, these kind of things are normal when the people making decisions are MBAs and investment bankers rather than folks who know the technical aspects.
