Is it a bad idea to move away from Full Stack Web Development?

I have an offer to work in the windows experience team at Microsoft. Based on my discussions so far, I can understand that the work would primarily be revolving around working on core features in Windows OS (search, package installer, etc).
I come from a java based full stack dev environment and even though I have gotten bored writing business logic in spring boot APIs, I understand the demand is high for these kind of roles.
Do you think making a switch to MSFT to work on windows is a bad idea? I am afraid my work might limit me to a certain niche and my future opportunities might be affected because of this?
Is this worth giving a shot?
Will highly appreciate your opinion.
