I am currently in a very toxic workplace environment and considering switching careers entirely. I’m passionate about helping others and I believed that a law degree would allow me that opportunity. In practice, however, stressors from difficult clients, opposing counsel, and micromanaging partners makes it feel like all that matters is billing. Whether that is billing more, less for certain tasks, or needless back and forth with counsel.
I am extremely self-motivated and passionate about emerging technology, which is another reason I’m tired of the antiquated aspects of law.
Seeking advice from others and insight into careers that are rewarding.
