Folks, do you have any comments about Transamerica for term insurance? I am on H1B and not many companies offer term insurance on H1B. Transamerica does offer it though and their rates are the lowest. So I need some input on how good they’re. Also feel free to post your insurance premium, number of years coverage and age. Transamerica quoted me $128 per month for 2 mn coverage for 30 years. My age is 35 years. Obligatory TC: 390k #personalfinance
My final quote from trans America after medical was 3x what they originally quoted
https://www.term4sale.com/ I went with AAA, and I like their business model because they are not for profit, and they were pretty close to the cheapest. Term life insurance is commoditized, you don't need anything special.
Does AAA gives term insurance to people on H1B? +1 to their business model, I am a happy AAA customer, I have my home and auto insurance through them.
No idea, but make sure you read the policy notes for any company you consider. It wouldn't surprise me if it's voided if you move to a different country or something.
Hey op did you buy term insurance? Just checking on what you did, I’m currently in similar situation hunting for good plan
I took northwestern mutual term insurance being on H1- $100/month for both me and my wife for 2.5M coverage
What’s your age and what is the duration of the coverage?
