Don't expect things to get back to 2019's level until mid decade - bearish for the time being

You can start building back in 2022 but it will take another 2-3 years before we get back to 100% of 2019 capacity, it's what I see from NA commercial airlines

  • Always been a super competitive environment. Not much room for growth or profit, very bearish overall. Unless you are talking about private jets and private flying, i would stay very away from the airline industry

  • The industry has shrunk with a long term recovery trend. The industry attained its highest peak since 9/11 at the beginning of this year and suddenly took a nose dive as a result of COVID. The current state is cyclical and expected. The industry will bounce back but some business travels will be lost forever. So a forward-thinking airline should go after more none business routes to make up for some of the business travel loss.

  • Depends what region. Really seasonal. Asia are putting some money out for airlines. JAL is coming back strong and ANA won’t let né the second. Chinese as Eva air also getting stronger. I guess it all depend if the time. Middle East right now is slow. Emirates, Qatar and Etihad rely too much on international flights so it will suffer for sometime. That’s my thoughts.
Not sure much about US domestic.

  • Pelosi not wanting to lend some side help certainly hurts in the short term. I’m bull vaccine and eventual stimulus that’ll save the major airlines. Biggest fan of southwest and then delta...but that’s on a personal basis
