What should I respond to the facebook recruiter?

I had an interview with Facebook and now the recruiter comes back to me and asked me whether I want to work remotely or want a relocation to the bay area. He didn't tell me why but he asked me to choose one of them before sending my case to the quorum. do you know choosing either can impact my chance of getting hired? what is the difference between these for onboarding?

  • I’m a recruiter. Just be honest. What’s your preference? It doesn’t impact your ability to get hired. If you passed the loop, you passed the loop and you’re good to go

      I saw someone say their recruiter told them they probably would have passed and received an offer for E4, but got rejected since remote is only for E5+. I'm interviewing for a remote E5 right now. If I ended up in a similar situation can I reapply for onsite E4? Thanks.

    Facebook is declining long term due to Apple limiting cross app tracking and recent government legislation.

    In the middle of interviewing for remote position and was told that the onboarding and team selection process differ. If you work onsite, you do bootcamp and then choose team towards end. If remote, there are less teams available so your team selection happens up front.

    Be honest with what your preference is. If you got good feedback, they're not going to decline because of relo/remote preference.
