Is it like Ethereum vs Ethereum classic?
Basically, there is a group called Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Oracle is betting the farm on cloud. Ocic is in bay area and oci is in seattle. They started working on products in parallel and Ocic projects have been put on hold in favor of Oci’s. Some dude who was let go was from ocic and thinks oracle needs to cut the fat. Does Oci in seattle pay well? Asking for a friend 🤗
They're apparently paying quite well, from what I hear. So tell your friend.
You can make back at OCI for as long as OCI exists and is a priority. Open questions about both of those things. Also, consider the mental costs to being at Oracle because it is often an extremely frustrating, languid place. Crawling with nepotism, too. Especially in OCI.
Avoid OCI. More layoffs are coming.

Well duh. Of course Seattle won. They have ex-Amazonians that know what they are doing.
