Got a text message recently about AT&T Mobile Security & Call Protect being activated on my employer-issued phone. Been workin for a few years but this is the first time I got a text message like that. What does it permit them to do? Why now?

No BS answers please.

Pika is right, it’s spam call blocking. In practice it does almost nothing, looking at my filtered calls in the app every month there’d be between 0-2.

Other people commenting are correct. AT&T is rolling out some network enhancements to flagging nuisance calls and caller ID. I wouldn't be surprised if you get more texts to download the mobile security app of you don't already have it.

I doubt if it has anything to do with Intuit.. my wife has a personal AT&T phone and she got the same message around the same time as i got it on my Intuit phone... most likely its an AT&T feature being rolled out

seems it is ATT service. If it is employer owned phone then they can do whatever on it.
