TPM offer evaluation (zillow/compass/qualtrics)
Hello Blind community,
I got a verbal offer from zillow and waiting for the final offer from qualtrics and compass. Looking for answers to my questions below:
- Zillow initial verbal offer is 300k tc. What is the best offer I can negotiate for p5 TPM. My aim is to get closer to 500k.
- How is the scope for a P5 TPM compared to an L6 Amazon TPM. Does it overlap with L7 TPM scope?
- Would it be a good jump considering zillow's growth in future? How is the growth from P5 given this is the top IC level role for TPM's? Is there any one at P6 within TPM role at zillow?
- Should I aim for Staff position within qualtrics and Compass?
Break up within the TC's would help for the positions I am considering above.

You literally mentioned clear SWE tech interview, I don't know who is spreading misinformation here.
Scope is what you make of it. Good and bad. Some p5 TPMs push tickets. Some do very little. Some drive critical projects. Depends on group, you, & manager.
P6 promo is very very very very hard. Not about skill, about politics. Easier way to do it is move to a people manager role and next lateral to IC.
P5 = M4 = senior manager.
Is zillow like Google with lower pay but you can still rest and vest? I have heard the overall culture is not cut throat and aggressive.
Not sure of the potential stock growth though
P4 is Senior
Any suggestion on the TC breakup I can aim for. What is the max base amount and how are the refreshers like
