Lately I’ve seen an increase in AI + voice positions. I have journalism and radio production experience from a previous life. Any thoughts on which orgs and positions I can target to segue from creative writing/production to writing/production for AI? I’ve been reading some interesting stuff about Alexa and Google Assistant vooey.
Google assistant is in dire need for some original jokes to compete with siri.
A friend of mine is a recruiter who suggested the same thing. She recommended the Doodle team. Do you think they can find value in my transition from fiction and current affairs writing to creative writing for Doodle or Assistant?
I was only half joking, but with the advances in AI, we need technical writers to be actually less technical and more human. I am driving some initiatives like that, and we always ask the question how would a real person behave. Honestly our old school tech writers who do an awesome job writing copy for core tech products, they aren't changing fast enough for the fact that experiences are becoming more and more human, more based on natural language and understanding. So areas like chat bots and voice assistants, AI models that do language understanding and comprehension, those that build abstracts, and even some that can produce full content, they all need some language experts to make those outputs more natural and less robotic.
