There is articles everyday favouring one over other. Heard that azure had lead in last quarter followed by AWS and Ibm in terms of revenue but not sure about will they be able to hold it. General perception is AWS is better in cloud offering and Google has better AI stack. Azure is super strong second in both while Ibm is catching up. What do you think? Or if any article to support your view.
Not true, I live in desert and saw a cloud once.
Ok which desert?
Why no Oracle OCI plus SaaS? Do you think we live in a desert?
Who is taking Oracle seriously?
Buddy, Oracle Salesforce others are right now do not come in top 3. They have great work a head of them and huge opportunity but today they are not in the mix. May be by end of next year they make a jump to top 3 so we can have them in poll
IBM... 😁
Nvidia is the one making all the guns for this war anyways
AWS leads the cloud by more than 4 times over Microsoft which is almost twice bigger than Google cloud. AWS alone makes 25B per year but Microsoft do the accounting trick to mask the huge difference by putting Office 365 revenue to cloud. Google does the same trick but AWS is the king of king in cloud. AI is a big area but Alexa seems providing good basis to Amazon along with associated home offerings. Tensorflow is the defacto standard and Google is second to none in deep learning with alphago and more. Aside from these two, others don’t have platform to use AI much.
I disagree with you. Cloud includes Iaas, Paas and Saas. Amazon is severely lacking Saas, they have to trying to make some progress in this area, but have failed miserably. Look at Amazon workdocs how shitty is it compared to office365. So now they started buying startups, amazon chime for example. If you read gartner report on cloud. Msft has done terrific job of integration between its products. So my bet is on MS.
Microsoft plays to satisfy the Gartner metrics which doesn’t mean much. AWS guys don’t even care what MSFT does because they lead too much. Basically almost all of production users use AWS. Spotify and Niantic use GCP. Almost no tech companies use Azure which is where the growth is. Microsoft is using money it gets from office and windows sales to sell to big agencies. List of customers is pitiful. No one used Azure for serious work load yet. It is just in case something falls with Amazon due to their monopoly. In other words, fallback plan and testing purpose. Microsoft will close the gap but it will still be very far from Amazon. I am not sure SaaS can be lumped into traditional definition of cloud. There is Salesforce that is much bigger than Microsoft for SaaS offering. Oracle depending on how you define SaaS has large market. I used to work at Azure and pretty much anyone following the market knew Microsoft is far far behind. If you call Office as SaaS, Microsoft is bigger than almost anyone.
