tBzB48 Mar 14, 2020Prestige for whom? Prestige for common folk who know nothing about AI- google brain. Prestige for NLP- Google/Facebook. Prestige for tabular data - Microsoft. Prestige for interesting projects across reinforcement learning - OpenAI and maybe Google Brain (automl zero was interesting). The most prestigious places are the ones with the biggest names. Wherever Yoshia Bengio, Geoffrey Hinton or Yan Lecunn work are the prestigious places- these are the superstars not brand names.

Only Google does real groundbreaking research, all of the rest are copy cats.
