I will be starting a new job either in Sunnyvale or Redwood City at the end of the month. I live in Berkeley. One of my major concerns is the commute.

I have been reading that the autopilot feature of the Tesla 3 is a significant stress reducer when driving in traffic. Is that correct? Would it justify buying the Tesla over its competitors (Bolt, Leaf, Kona)?

Thanks!

Autopilot is worth every penny for traffic and road trips. Even if it wasn’t, how dare you compare those other 3 to be remotely in the same category 😜

Get a motorcycle... better way to beat the traffic.

    • I rode for years. Had multiple times when cagers weren’t paying attention and would swerve into my lane. You have to remain super vigilant. I can’t count the number of times I would be able to correctly deduce that someone was talking on their cell phone even though I couldn’t see it. All it would have taken was me not being super vigilant once and they could have ended me.

I agree. You do need to be mindful of the surroundings at all times. But being super vigilant has become second nature after a point. Hence my reference to India.

Bay Area has nothing... I mean nothing compared to the experience back in Bangalore or Mumbai. Once you are used to so many variables in your commute, you are always on high alert! Lol
