Have offer for PMTS role at AMD in Austin. Senior level at IBM with 20 YOE. Offer: Base: 200k Bonus: 22% of base Sign-on: 50k RSU: 88k over 3 years Current TC at IBM: 175k I also got a retention cash award with 24-month claw-back. I think IBM will match base. The work is great and good people to work with but culture is poor and IBM doesn't pay. I'm looking for growth and more opportunities. Anyone else here have PMTS numbers to compare or have feedback on offer? To me it looks like a no-brainer but want to make sure offer is reasonable at AMD at same level. TIA.
PMTS Base goes all the to -$265K in the Bay. I would think 230-240 is possible. Of course, this was to compete with FAANG offers.

Your RSUs is the highest I've seen here on blind from AMD . Did you have a good chunk left on the table from Intel? Are you coming in from California?
Quick update on my offer. Renegotiating hasn't helped push my compensation up. I guess they know IBM pays peanuts and I don't have any other offers to compete as I just started job searching. I need to decide if I should stay and continue searching, or settle with offer and accept. Problem is that I cannot accept my cash retention if I plan to leave because of the claw-back conditions.
Yes you can accept retention and pay it back. Don’t blow it all in Vegas.

Your RSUs is a little low. I got 115k/3 last year as SMTS without much negotiation.

Are you sure it’s PMTS and not SMTS ? I’ve seen SMTS offers of 205 base and 90k/3.
Yes, PMTS level. So it sounds I should try to counter based on your reply. Most of the searches I've done here show SMTS offers around 175k but that might be from old posts.
