Signed my offer a month ago

But the news of Jack leaving spooked me since it sounds like Elliott Management will start layoffs if things don’t go well. Right now the stock isn’t doing that well at all 🤡

Idk since Twitter seems to be financially doing ok right now…well enough from my lowly perspective

Elliot management left a year ago. It was not their doing.

Should you join? Depends on your team and what you are planning to do. TC shouldn't be the only criteria for you to join a company. Yes our stock sucks right now but we are growing and these are just growing pains.

Aren't you lucky? You gonna get more shares with the price drop if you haven't joined yet. It's indeed scary given all the changes the company is going through. I read today more changes are coming in leadership with a few heads leaving. But as long as your offer stands you should be OK. No one can predict the future. When you sign an offer you should be OK with it even if the stock doesn't move up at all during your tenure. I don't know about Twitter, but many tech companies award employees refreshers if the stock lost value and expected TC for the year went down. As of layoffs, who knows. Everything is possible. Twitter is not FAANG in terms of stability. The main thing I would be worried about is WLB. I have a friend at Twitter and I heard things are good but likely to change.

I’m thinking Salesforce will acquire. This is a test for Bret Taylor to prove he is sole CEO material

I don’t have any in depth analysis. Just that Salesforce was interested before and Bret Taylor is Co-CEO off SFDC and made chairman of Twitter recently.

I also think that Twitter won’t be able to monetize effectively with ads like the other social media companies so it makes sense for them to sell to another company.

I don't see it happening. Not yet at least. You need more than just a person that is connected to both companies. I don't see what Twitter is going to add to Salesforce business. Also I don't think Salesforce can afford it. They are not printing money like Google or Apple.
