Question on Wayfair org structure

I recently cleared the interview in Wayfair and waiting for my offer. How is the reporting structure of wayfair? Does l4 staff engineers report to senior engineering managers? Isn’t senior managers l4 too? How come same level reporting works out?

Also.... Anyone who already holds a title is grandfathered in.... Which means EXISTING L4 eng who is CURRENTLY staff.... Will still retain that title even at L4. They'll migrate to new title matrix when they get promoted.
