Having trouble understanding exactly what JAMstack means from the descriptions I’m seeing. Seems to mean complex static sites or front ends that rely on backend as a service cloud solutions like firebase?

While great to an extent, especially for startups, these types of services won’t replace large scale webapps, backends become too complex at some point. These patterns seem to encourage moving tons of logic to the frontend, which I don’t think scales well.
