More often I see teams in general working long. That is usually due to someone higher up not managing the workloads correctly or expects more from the same resources in a minimal amount of time. Could be a business need or it could just be stakeholders asking for everything because they can. I’ve experienced both and it usually requires leadership to manage it unless you’re empowered to do so yourself.
