#amazon #aws Hi, I have a question for folks who have gone through the Amazon background check process. I have myDocs official offer and counter-signed all my paperwork. Background check is in process and came shortly before myDocs. How long does it typically take? I am very quickly approaching needing to put notice in at my current company to give them 2 weeks before I start at AWS. I need to put in notice by Friday. Background check was submitted on Monday night to Accurate and complete by Accurare on Tuesday and they confirmed it was already sent to Amazon for review. I reached out to Accurate and they sent me a copy of my background check. It says I am all clear for every category. Do you all think it is safe to put my notice in? I have read that Amazon simply does a criminal background check but I want to double check if anyone knew of additional checks. I have no criminal record, clean credit, and resume is highly accurate if they validate previous employers.
Mine took about 5 business days. If Accurate says you're good, you're good. Go put in that notice!
Did the report sent to you by Accurate mention the categories checked? Did it mention Employment or Education verification?
It takes just 1 business day since they run a criminal back ground check for the past 7 years. Just email your recruiter and confirm your start date before putting in your notice.
Sweet. My start date was confirmed via email and in my offer letter documentation.
Talk with your recruiter. Ask if they got the results and if all is ok, that you want to put your notice in.
Did you end it up waiting for the recruiter to confirm you were good to go before putting notice?
Do you see the report does it contained credit history too?
Do they check employment history too?

Is life really better in the US?
I guess it really depends. Mine took exactly 17 days that felt closer to a month. If Accurate tells you it's fine I would think you're good to put in your notice. Unless you have some charges in your record you really have nothing to worry about.
Nope. Not a single thing on my record. Not even a speeding ticket. I looked through the report Accurate sent me a copy of and it says "No Record Found" for everything.
