for EC2 teams, job requirement is “strong experience with backend software development. “ which technologies should one be proficient to apply for this job. databases, language ( java/ python) ?
You will be eaten alive if you are not seasoned in 14 LP. Java and Bash is sufficient but you got to be 10/10 in these.

Lol at EC2 team. That's a standard line but I think you should take EC2 team if you get a chance. You will learn operational excellence. EC2 is used everywhere, even DBs like Aurora, Neptune, DynamoDB run on EC2. It should be super challenging if they are still adding new features. If they are in maintenance mode then bad luck
Yeah they need you strong to handle brutal oncalls and still have the wit to write a nice summary report and present it
