I came to AWS Marketing this year after a decade at MSFT. So far I really love it -- love the culture, the pace, the laser vision and the challenges. My TC is $220 as an L6, which I *believe* is about average for this level in marketing (is this true?). For those who have Amazon experience -- how do I get to L7? What happens if I do -- what kind of jump in compensation should I expect, how would my work life change, and also, is it worth it?
Are you at Seattle? For L7 it is like Principal Eng. Or Principal something else
Yes, I'm in Seattle! In Marketing, it would be "Director of Marketing" or "Principal Marketing Leader" or "Principal Marketing Manager".
OP, what are the title levels for Marketing at Amazon? Mgr, Sr. Mgr, Director?
it would be "Director of Marketing" or "Principal Marketing Leader" or "Principal Marketing Manager" or "Senior Manager".
Good luck!

Google CFO confirms "large-scale" layoffs today (Apr 17)
You will jump to the bare minimum of the L7 band. So, depending on stock appreciation over your tenure and where you sit in band it could be very little. How do you get there? Do stuff AND have a strong Director and even stronger relationships with your Director’s peers and leadership team. Without a strong Director you’ll be screwed.
What does that mean "bare min of the L7 band"? If it is not a significant bump in pay, what are the other benefits -- what makes it "worth it"?
Every role and level has a min - target - top for base and a min - top for TC. You will be brought to min in both. It may be literally nothing if stock appreciation has been significant. It’s worth it because you have more ‘room to grow’ and you want a higher level role.
