If your team does daily standups, your manager is a micromanager
Calling all current/former sales reps for AWS, I wanted to open up a forum to hear any advice you have for someone just starting off. A couple of questions I have I will lob out, and just any advice/guidance/things you’ve learned you would like to share would be great! 1). What is the sales culture and pressure like? 2) What’s the most difficult thing you face? 3) How often are you hitting quota? 4) How do accelerators work? 5) How do you manage WLB? 6) What is the average morale on sales team (I know it can vary from team to team)? 7) What’s the best part of your job? What keeps you doing it? Thanks in advance! #sales #ae #am #aws #amazon
No problem. Most people are hitting their numbers as well. It’s probably a little harder depending on the vertical considering Covid, but cloud computing is still growing regardless. It’s a good place to be imo, regardless of what what people generally say about amazon on blind
Yeah I agree too. I think most the negative Amazon sentiment comes from the engineering side of the house, not the AWS presales side.
Any referral please?
1) you’re expected to produce results. Not very hard to do considering our product 5) pretty easy. You don’t have to work a lot. We aren’t SDEs 6) morale on my team is good. People are hitting numbers and management is fine 7) high pay
Thanks, appreciate the direct answers.
Do you mind sharing what “high pay” means to you? Just curious as have been with same company for awhile and wondering if I’m missing out.
