Got approached by Amazon recruiter. He positioned the role as leadership, but it is Sr. Manager "only". I know Amazon down levels but I have been Sr. Director for 4 years, so it seems a bit harsh. How large of a team sr manager leads? What is the day to daylike and finally what is the expected TC? AWS Security has some interesting projects, but not sure about the pressure and wlb. Current TC ~ 650 yoe 20

Sr managers can manage big operations or very small teams. Similar to a director level they can also manage other sr. Managers. It really depends on the level, who they report to (VP vs. Director) and who are their directs (levels and scope).
